My apologies for this late request, could you please pass onto your Youth coaches that if they have any of this seasons players playing in an U18s team that were eligible to play U17s (THEY MUST STILL BE 17 YEARS OLD ON THE 1st SEPTEMBER 2010) and they believe are of a high standard and would like to nominate them to take part in a trial/selection day on Saturday the 5th June at Hopwood Hall and if successful would then go onto play in an U17s England Community Lions Representative Squad against Scotland U18s on Saturday the 12th June 2010 in Glasgow please let me know by e mail the players names, DOB and playing position by this coming Wednesday 26th May 2010 so letters can be sent out.
This will give the coaching team the opportunity to view the players in our regions in preparation for the 2010/11 U18s England/Great Britain Community Lions.
This is the first step on the pathway for the Community Lions and if players are successful they could go forward onto the U18s England and Great Britain Community Lions later in the year.
This is a great opportunity for any player who IS NOT ON ACADEMY TERMS and will still be 17 years old on the 1st September 2010.
Successful candidates selected for the U18s Community Lions will have the opportunity to play France, Wales and the Australian Combined High Schools.
